David Diamond, 1915-1990, composed music for Strange Victory, 1948. An important American composer and member of the group of young composers that included Aaron Copeland, William Schuman and Marc Blitzstein among others, that came to prominence in the 1930’s. They sought a kind of democratic revolution in American music.
